Rolin' right along

Well, to those of you who occasionally check in to see if I have written anything, I'm sorry. I am so awful about it. By the time I get home from work, I just want to eat dinner and hang out with Kevin. I will think about posting somthing and then I want to put a picture with it but I don't have one so I won't post. Well, I have a few recent pictures so now is a great time!

Let's start with snowboarding! The weekend before Christmas we went to Sunrise and went snowboarding. It was great! Kevin got to ride with the guys and I got to ride with Crystal. I was better last winter but hopefully with a little more practice things will improve.

Then comes Christmas. It was so much fun to have our first Christmas together. We both spent entirely too much money on each other. Kevin got me a necklace from Tiffany that I have been wanting for a really long time. It is so cute! Then, a brown and pink Nixon Scout watch. We are matching now except his is black and white. Then, to help improve my snowboarding skills, this super cute! pink jacket!!! I love it :) Plus a few more things. I got Kevin a gift certificate to go sky diving, private wakeboarding lessons in California, clothes, a Burton travel bag, Fox riding gear, spoiled! It was cool to be just the both of us, in our house, with our own Christmas tree and decorations. Then, we went down to Safford on Wednesday afternoon and spent time with all sides of the family. It was really fun!

Then, for New Year's we decided to pay a visit to Ben and go to Vegas. It was pretty crazy! Definitely something that I am glad I experienced but will probably never do again :) We ate, walked down the strip, watched the water show at the Belagio, did a little dancing. It was cool. Then, before we left, Kevin and I went to the temple there. We brought everything that we needed but I realized that I forgot to pack a skirt. So on the drive there, we are looking for any place to stop and get a skirt. We found a Ross so pulled in. We were in a hurry so I told Kevin I will run in and find one really quickly. So, I did exactly what I said. Ran in, grabbed the first skirt I saw and ran out. It was less than 5 mintues. When I came out, Kevin was gone! I started searching, pacing, and then freaking out. He was gone! In my head I was wondering what I was going to do. It wasn't exactly the best part of town, I was alone, without a phone (it was still in the car), in Vegas and my husband left me. I could call my dad from a payphone, he has an 800 number. After like 10-15 minutes, Kevin showed up...with McDonalds!!!

Lastly, today is Kevin's 31st birthday!!! I don't think of him as old but I think of 31 as old :) I think it's been a good one for him. Last night we ate at The Meling Pot in Scottdale. It was really cool. We got to dress up nice; I wore this little black dress with heals and Kevin dressed nice as well. I made reservations for us. When we got there, we had our own little private booth where we could close a curtain and block everyone else off. It was fun to kiss during dinner at a public place but no one could see us :) Then, they had balloons, a birthday card, took a picture of us and put it in a frame. It was a lot of fun. The best part was definitely desert! We had milk chocolate and peanut butter in our fondue. Then, they gave us strawberries, bananas, cheesecake, rice crispy treats, brownies, graham cracker crumb dipped marshmallows, etc. It was SOOO good! I wish I would have eaten less of the rest of the meal so I could have had more desert. It was amazing. We had fun and it was something different. Then, this morning, I woke up at 4:30 to make Kevin breakfast before he went to work. When he got home, I made hamburgers, french fries, milk shakes, cake and ice cream for him. Then we went and got a couples massage. It was so relaxing! Now, I am headed off to watch the Cardinals game with my amazing birthday boy!

Well, I guess that's it for now! I will try to be much better about keeping things updated :)
