So...Kevin and I were in desprate need of a vacation so we decided to go to Wisconsin with my parents! Between the Harley Davidson Museum, eating tons of corn, massages, and hanging out at my uncle's lake house, we had a good time.

Special Olympics

On Friday the 1st, I got a call from Cathy Konopnicki while I was at work. She was calling to let me know that Sara was participating in the special olympics at MCC that day and also on Saturday. I was so excited that she called!!! So, on Saturday Morning, I got up and went to watch Sara do her "softball throw". It was the cutest thing I have ever seen. I do not know how anyone could be there around all of those special spirits and not be touched. Sara was sitting under a canopy waiting to get her award just patiently sitting...waiting. She didn't know I was there and that I had been watching her. So, I went closer to where she was and in plain view and called her name. She was holding a cup of water and she got so excited to see me, she dropped the cup and was waving at me with the biggest smile with both hands!!! I gave her a thumbs up and of course, she gave one back! A lady stepped between us so that we couldn't see each other anymore but I could see Sara poke her head around the lady's butt to make sure that I was still there.

Then, she got to go and get her award on the stand. She walked up there so proud and was just waving at everyone like she was on top of the world. They put her ribbon around her neck and she just kept holding it, looking at it, and had a grin on her sweet face that would not go away. The only way to describe it is that it just melted my heart!!!

They instructed the children to get off the stand and she came running over to me and gave me a huge hug and showed me her ribbon. She was so proud of it!

We were walking back to where the rest of her friends were, holding hands, and she would just hold it up and look at it. As we were walking, the other children that were participating kept telling her good job, gave her high fives, thumbs up, even tried to give her hugs and they didn't even know her. They were just so excited for each other and showed endless love.

We got back to the rest of the Gila Valley group and her really good friend Christopher was there. She said, "LOOK CHRISTOPHER...I GOT A RIBBON!" He said back to her, "COOL SARA, LOOK, I GOT A METAL FOR LONG JUMP!" Then, they put their arms around each other to take the best picture! I love how she is looking up at Christopher just adoring him!

I love that little girl so much. I would honestly do ANYTHING for her! Thanks Cathy, for giving me a call. It was exactly what I needed! :)

Flower and Garden

So...a few weeks ago, Kevin and I decided to plant some flowers and a garden. It was fun. I got to pick out all the flowers and do that. I haven't done it since I was a little girl with my grandma so it was fun. Kevin did most of our garden. We planted red peppers, yellow peppers, green bell peppers, yellow squash, and zuccini. Our front yard looks good now. I always have to keep up with all the cute stuff the neighbor lady has and make mine even cuter!

A few days after we planted all of our stuff, I was sitting at work and thought to myself, Kevin and I have been together for almost 2 years and we have never been camping together!!! CRAZY...I KNOW! So, I text Kevin "Lets go camping tonight" He responded, "With who?" I said "Me and you!" He said "Where" My reply, "Our backyard!!!" "We will talk about it when I get home" he said. My mom just laughed and called me crazy and said that he would never agree to it. Boy was she wrong! We lit a fire in our little fire pit. After Kevin dumped gasoline on it, I started it and burned all my arm hairs off!!! Luckily my eyelashed were safe (that was the only thing I was worried about!) So we blew up and air mattress and slept outside. It was really fun and we both surprisingly slept really well :) I love him!

He didn't go for the sleep over in the living room the next night though!

California!

For Tori's birthday, we decided to take her and Tasia to California this past weekend. We had such a good time. On Friday morning, we woke up at 2:00 a.m. and left Mesa at 3:30 a.m. to spend that day at Six Flags. The day was great! We got there about 10:15 or so and stayed till they closed at 6:00. There weren't any lines so we rode non-stop! As we were driving to our hotel, Tori goes, Tab I think I'm going to throw up. Sure enough! Just as I got a few plastic bags together... Blah!!!

Then, on Saturday, we went to California adventure. It was great...the day was nice, we got to ride a few rides, got a little tan. It was fun.

Then, on Sunday, Tori's birthday, we went to Disneyland. It was pretty cold that day and super busy!!! Annoyingly busy. Of course, we don't get to the parks until about 2 or 3 in the afternoon so around 6 when it started raining, everyone cleared out. They announced that they might not do the firework show so everyone left. Perfect for us, we rode and rode and rode without lines. It was great. So, here are some pictures of the fun we had!

Trail Ride

Two weeks ago, we went down to Safford for our nephew's baptism. While we were there, we went on a trail ride with my dad, mom, and sister, Tori. We had such a good time! While we were out we saw many forms of wild life: bear, cows, javalina, racoon and rabits. Kevin took us down this path that was a complete dead end. I think at one time it lead to somewhere but it was totally washed out. Because of that, we were almost late to the baptism. The baptism was nice. It's cute to see the kids. Then we all ate at the church. The guys in Kevin's family decided that they wanted to play basketball. It was so cute seeing his dad, brothers, and brother-in-laws all having so much fun. The girls left the church and just went back to the house. We needed to tell them something and no one was answering their phones so Malerie and I drove up there. When I walked in, they all were drenched in sweat and were beat red! It was so funny! They all had tons of fun. It was cute to see. Then, of course, we watched the Super Bowl at Jason and Shila's house. The food, company, and game was all great! Thanks Shila :) I love just hanging out with friends. It's definitely on my top favorite things to do. Here are some pictures from the trail ride:
